Sehingga sensor ini mampu melakukan penetrasi atas partikel atmosferik, kayak awan, kabut, asap, debu, uap air, dan sebagainya.

An echo is the reflection of sound waves off of some distant object. If you shout in a canyon, the sound waves travel through the air, bounce off the rocky walls and then come back to you. Sonar SO-nahr is the most similar to this scenario. This technology also relies on sound waves to detect objects. However, sonar is typically used underwater. NOAA/NOS/Office of Coast Survey Medical technicians also may use sound waves to peer inside the human body which is mostly water. Here, the technology is known as ultrasound. When bats, dolphins and other animals use sonar naturally, usually to find prey, it’s called echolocation EK-oh-lo-CAY-shun. These animals send out a series of short sound pulses. Then they listen for the echoes to determine what’s in their environment. Radar and lidar LY-dahr rely on echoes, too. Only they don’t use sound waves. Instead, these two technologies use radio waves or light waves, respectively. Both are examples of electromagnetic radiation. Scientists made up the words radar, sonar and lidar. Each reflects a technology’s usefulness Radar radio detection and ranging Sonar sound navigation and ranging Lidar light detection and ranging Detection or navigation refers to locating objects. Depending on the technology, these objects may be underwater, in the air, on or below the ground, or even in space. Radar, sonar and lidar can determine an object’s distance, or range. NOAA/National Weather Service Lidar, radar and sonar systems all include timing devices. Their clocks record the length of time needed for a wave to travel to an object and back. The farther the distance, the longer it takes for an echo to return. Radar, sonar and lidar also can reveal information about an object’s shape, size, material and direction. Air traffic controllers use radar to spot aircraft in the sky. Police use it to detect speeders. Navies use sonar to map the ocean bottom — or to look for enemy submarines. And lidar helps read the lay of the land or features on Earth’s surface. Lidar’s laser pulses can penetrate forest cover to record the shape of the ground below. That makes this technology especially valuable for mapping.
LiDARadalah salah satu teknologi penginderaan optik yang digunakan untuk menentukan jangkauan target jauh dan parameter lainnya. LiDAR menggunakan frekuensi Near Infrared (NIR) dan Visible Light ke objek gambar. Sinar laser digunakan untuk mengukur properti cahaya yang tersebar dan untuk membuat titik untuk pemetaan 3D.

Sementara bukti-bukti terjadinya kerusakan hutan sudah sedemikian banyak, namun gambaran tentang kerusakannya masih tetap kabur karena data yang ada saling bertentangan, informasi yang tidak tepat, dan klaim serta bantahan yang saling bertentangan [FWI/GFW, 2001]. Oleh karena itu ada kebutuhan yang sangat mendesak untuk melakukan penilaian yang obyektif terhadap situasi hutan Indonesia, dan digunakan sebagai basis informasi yang benar bagi setiap individu atau organisasi dalam upaya melakukan perubahan positif. Ragam metode telah dipakai untuk menghasilkan angka-angka terkait kondisi hutan kita, dari metode pengukuran langsung ground measurement sampai dengan metode penginderaan jauh / inderaja remote sensing. Perbedaan informasi kehutanan terjadi karena tingkat akurasi yang berbeda diantara metode dan alat yang digunakan. Kita membutuhkan alat yang lebih akurat untuk mendapat data yang handal. Makalah ini membahas Lidar sebagai salah satu teknologi lama yang diutilisasi sehingga memiliki akurasi tinggi untuk inventarisasi hutan sebagai salah satu aplikasinya. Lidar Light Detection And Ranging adalah bagian sistem inderaja yang GPS dan INS memungkinkan geometri Lidar terukur dengan teliti. Bandung, Juli 2014 Volume 1 Nomor 2 ISSN 2355-6110 146 menggunakan sensor aktif menggunakan sumber energi-nya sendiri, bukan dari pantulan sinar matahari, dan bekerja dengan membandingkan karakteristik sinyal transmisi dan pantulannya selisih waktu rambat pulsa, panjang gelombang, dan sudut pantulan [Wehr, 1999]. II. TEORI Prinsip Kerja LiDAR Lidar menggunakan laser light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation yaitu instrumen yang mengaplikasikan arus listrik kuat pada material lasable yang menghasilkan energi radiasi berupa emisi cahaya yang kuat. Emisi cahaya yang dihasilkan membentuk gelombang koheren sehingga beda fasa tetap konstan walaupun terjadi interferensi. Dibantu dengan perkembangan teknologi INS Inertial Navigation System yang akurat di akhir tahun ’90-an 0,008o presisi, membuat lidar memiliki akurasi yang memadai untuk digunakan di bidang pemetaan. INS dapat menghitung kontrol presisi dan merekam perubahan posisi wahana pesawat roll, pitch, yaw. Untuk posisi horisontalnya ditambahkan GPS Global Positioning Systems yang memberikan posisi geografis dari pesawat dengan ketelitian tinggi 10 – 50 cm, on the fly [GIM International, 2007]. Material penghasil cahaya karena tumbukan proton, umumnya material ini berupa gas atau kristal carbon dioxide, helium-neon, argon, rubies, dsb. Untuk mengukur jarak dari sebuah pancaran radiasi gelombang elektromagnetik dipergunakan ukuran beda fasa antara gelombang transmisi dan pantul. Beda fasa dipergunakan terlebih dahulu untuk mengukur waktu tempuh TL time of travel dengan rumusan berikut [Lohan, 2010] Bandung, Juli 2014 Volume 1 Nomor 2 ISSN 2355-6110 147 Dimana n adalah jumlah gelombang penuh, T adalah waktu ditempuh cahaya yang diperlukan untuk menempuh satu panjang gelombang dan φ adalah beda fasa. Nilai n yang tidak diketahui dihitung oleh alat modulasi. Maka R atau jarak dapat dihitung dengan rumus Tabel 1. Salah satu spesifikasi Lidar komersil tinggi terbang, panjang gelombang, akurasi hor. & ver., repetisi laser, orientasi posisi, lebar scan, dsb [Optech, 2011]. Lidar dapat merekam beragam sinyal pantulan dari beberapa layer permukaan, sinyal primer dipantulkan oleh permukaan paling atas, sedangkan sinyal kedua dan seterusnya dipantulkan dari beberapa lapis permukaan tanaman rendah atau semak, pagar dan sebagainya dan sinyal akhir adalah pantulan dari permukaan tanah. Karakteristik ini membuat lidar menjadi satu-satunya sensor yang dapat membeda-bedakan citra ke dalam multi layer [Campbell, 2007]. Kelebihan teknologi Lidar dibandingkan teknologi inderaja lainnya pada saat ini adalah 1. Ketelitian tinggi higher accuracy, vertikal 5-15 cm & Horizontal accuracy 30-50 cm; 2. Akuisisi & Pengolahan data lebih cepat, akuisisi 1000 km2 dalam 12 jam & pembuatan DEM 1000 km2 dalam 24 jam; 3. Mengurangi human error, sebagian besar proses berlangsung otomatis; 4. Tidak tergantung cuaca dan matahari, akuisisi dapat dilakukan siang dan malam; 5. Tembus kanopi, pulsa Lidar dapat mencari celah-celah kecil diantara kanopi sehingga permukaan tanah dapat diukur juga; 6. Densitas data sangat tinggi, Lidar dapat memancarkan 167,000 pulsa per detik, lebih dari 24 titik per m2; 7. Data 3D & multiple returns, dapat mengetahui struktur vertikal; 8. Tidak memerlukan GCP, hanya diperlukan base station untuk titik referensi, bermanfaat untuk dipakai di area yang sulit didatangi; 9. Informasi tambahan, energi pantul memiliki nilai amplitudo yang berbeda tergantung reflektan-nya dan Bandung, Juli 2014 Volume 1 Nomor 2 ISSN 2355-6110 148 informasi ini berguna untuk proses klasifikasi; 10. Biaya, biaya satuan Lidar lebih mahal namun produk dengan yang dihasilkan berakurasi tinggi sehingga cost benefit-nya tinggi. III. APLIKASI LIDAR DI BIDANG KEHUTANAN a. Manajemen Kehutanan Intisari dari manajemen hutan adalah menjaga keseimbangan antara proteksi hutan dan produksi hutan [Ibrahim, 2010]. Proteksi hutan adalah upaya kita untuk menjaga kondisi iklim dan kondisi fisik suatu negara pada level kenyamanan yang tinggi, terjaganya cadangan air tanah dan kesuburan tanah, konservasi keberagaman biologi hutan, serta kelestarian lingkungan. Sedangkan produksi hutan adalah upaya pemenuhan kebutuhan bahan baku industri kayu olahan, tambang, perkebunan yang diambil dari hutan agar tetap berada di level yang masih bisa ditolerir reasonable dan tidak merusak hutan. Kegiatan logging adalah usaha produksi hutan yang paling banyak membawa dampak negatif, seperti kerusakan cagar alam, erosi dan hilangnya serapan air, dan regenerasi pohon yang sangat lama. Karena itu diperlukan perencanaan matang dalam proses penebangan pohon secara selektif yang dapat mengurangi dampak dari metode logging konvensional di hutan tropis tertuang dalam Standard for Reduced Impact Logging [TFF, 2007]. TFF Tropical Forest Foundation merupakan organisasi nirlaba yang mendorong pengelola hutan untuk melakukan proses logging yang memperhatikan kelangsungan hutan sustainable, dengan benefit dari TFF berupa sertifikasi RIL Reduced Impact Logging untuk tiap kayu yang diproduksi serta jasa penghubung dengan pasar internasional FML Forest Market Linking Program. Syarat partisipan program di atas adalah melakukan 1. Pemetaan pada skala operasional, ▪ Peta topografi yang memuat kontur 1 m; 2. Inventarisasi sebelum penebangan, ▪ Peta permukaan kanopi; ▪ Peta tinggi pohon, disertai identifikasi lokasi pohon dan ukuran tiap-tiap pohon; 3. Perencanaan penebangan, ▪ Peta aliran hidrologi, untuk desain aliran sungai atau cadangan air; ▪ Peta jalan logging, untuk mengestimasi kerusakan akibat pembukaan koridor jalan; 4. Penebangan selektif, labelisasi kayu tebangan; 5. Penutupan area logging setelah penebangan. Oleh karena itu manajemen hutan memerlukan peta 3 dimensi yang akurat, dan tentunya dapat dipenuhi dengan menggunakan teknologi Lidar. Struktur Vertikal Pohon Lidar dapat dipakai untuk mengumpulkan data yang menggambarkan karakteristik struktur vegetasi. Sebagai contoh adalah sistem SLICER Scanning Lidar Imager of Canopies by Echo Recovery, merupakan aplikasi lidar altimetri untuk mendapatkan detil informasi struktur vertikal dari kanopi vegetasi merupakan informasi esensial untuk memahami fungsi dari ekosistem karena kondisi lapangan yang sulit maka tidak mudah melakukan inspeksi lapangan secara langsung [Blair, 1994 dan Mallet, 2008]. Instrumen SLICER menggunakan radiasi near infrared µm sampai 10 – 15 m. Sebagian radiasi direfleksikan oleh kanopi, dan sebagian lagi dapat mencapai tanah ground melewati gap antar pohon. Keseluruhan sinyal laser dipelajari untuk memperoleh gambaran distribusi vertikal dari pantulan laser bagian-bagian kanopi foliar dan woody dan refleksi dari tanah. Footprint yang lebih besar 5 – 15 m didesain untuk mengcakup secara simultan keseluruhan pantulan dari kanopi dan permukaan tanah, termasuk rekaman detil dari struktur mahkota pohon per individu-nya. Selisih perbedaan waktu antara sinyal inisial dan akhir menjadi basis hitungan untuk mengestimasi rata-rata tinggi pohon [Nelson, 1988]. Karena data lidar merekam karakteristik struktur dari hutan tinggi pohon, kerapatan mahkota, ukuran mahkota, dan lain-lain [Munakata, 2010 dan Peterson, 2005], maka lidar berpotensi untuk mengamati struktur 3 dimensi dari formasi vegetasi yang sangat sulit diperoleh menggunakan sensor lainnya. Sebagai contoh [Means, 2000 dan Lim, 2003] meneliti kemampuan lidar dengan percobaan airborne lidar dengan ukuran footprint m sampai m di daerah barat Oregon. Ia mendapatkan bukti bahwa Lidar efektif untuk mengestimasi area basal, tinggi, volume dan kerapatan kanopi. Berikut ini studi yang dilakukan Dong untuk memodelkan pohon dan bentuk mahkota-nya menggunakan data Lidar, dari model dapat diklasifikasikan struktur knopi menjadi cone, half ellipsoid, dan hemisphere [Dong, 2010]. Rumus ke-2 untuk area di atas f1x, y dan di bawah f2x, y. c. Pengukuran Stok Karbon Secara umum peningkatan konsentrasi gas rumah kaca termasuk diantaranya karbon dioksida CO2 akibat aktifitas manusia selalu dikaitkan sebagai faktor penyebab perubahan iklim dan dampak yang berasosiasi pada kesehatan, ketersediaan pangan, dan degradasi lingkungan hidup [Mendelsohn, 1999]. Kepedulian terhadap masalah global yang di induksi oleh peningkatan level CO2 di atmosfer, telah mengalihkan pusat perhatian kita pada peranan hutan sebagai media penyimpanan karbon dunia. Hutan memainkan peranan penting di dalam rantai hidup karbon global carbon cycle karena hutan menyimpan sebagian besar karbon yang dihasilkan aktifitas manusia di dalam biomasa tanaman dan juga dalam tanah [Falkowski, 2000]. Hutan Indonesia merupakan 40% luas areal hutan diseluruh Asia Tenggara, dan Sekitar 40 persen dari luas hutan pada tahun 1950 ini telah ditebang dalam waktu 50 tahun berikutnya. Jika dibulatkan, tutupan hutan di Indonesia turun dari 162 juta ha menjadi 98 juta ha [FWI/GFW, 2001]. Kebijakan di dalam mengurangi emisi karbon akibat deforestasi di hutan-hutan tropis membuka jalur insentif ekonomi dari negara-negara industri bagi negara-negara berkembang, salah satu-nya adalam program REDD Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation in Developing Countries. Konsep REDD adalah mendorong negara berkembang untuk memelihara hutan tropis-nya dari deforestasi atau upaya reduksi emisi karbon dibawah batas ambang peningkatan stok karbon berdasarkan referensi lampau dan proyeksi ke depan [CIFOR, 2008]. Negara yang telah berhasil menunjukkan penurunan emisi karbon dapat menjual stok karbon yang mereka miliki di carbon market kepada negara industri yang berminat membeli untuk mengurangi kewajiban mereka meringankan akibat polusi industri. Walaupun polusi industri adalah dosa yang tidak dapat dihapuskan melalui model barter Bandung, Juli 2014 Volume 1 Nomor 2 ISSN 2355-6110 151 stok karbon, namun setidaknya solusi bersama ini dapat meringankan beban bumi kita dalam menyangga siklus karbon. REDD Indonesia telah mencatat keberhasilan di dalam menurunkan tingkat deforestisasi dari per tahun menjadi hal ini akan berlangsung lama dengan catatan dipakai teknik monitoring hutan yang akurat, transparan, realistik, dan objektif [Behrendt, 2011]. Hanya sedikit saja diantara teknologi yang mampu mengumpulkan parameter hutan dengan akurat dan waktu yang singkat. Langkah kebijakan mengurangi emisi karbon selanjutnya membutuhkan dukungan sains dalam implementasinya. Tantangan sains diantaranya adalah menentukan angka emisi, diperlukan pengetahuan berapa luas area hutan yang dibuka dan berapa cadangan karbon yang tersimpan di pohon-pohon tersebut. Teknologi yang ada berkisar dari pengukuran biomasa langsung melalui survei lingkar dada pohon, inventarisasi dengan sensor optik fotogrametri, citra satelit, radar sensor, dan laser sensor. Masing-masing pendekatan memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangannya tersendiri [Gibbs, 2007]. Cara langsung menghitung jumlah karbon yang tersimpan di hutan adalah dengan menebang pohon sebagai sampel, kemudian dikeringkan dan ditimbang biomasa-nya. Nilai karbon yang tersimpan adalah setengah dari bobot biomasa kering [Hese, 2005]. Walaupun metode ini sangat akurat namun pelaksanaannya membutuhkan ratusan pohon sampel, sangat destruktif, memakan waktu banyak dan tidak efesien untuk area yang luas level nasional. Studi lainnya mencoba menggunakan sensor optik untuk menghitung stok karbon. Pendekatannya dengan mengukur konversi lahan hutan tropis menjadi jenis lahan terbuka misalnya pertanian, permukiman deforestasi yang memicu pelepasan CO2 ke atmosfer karena hilangnya biomasa tanaman, respirasi tanah atau terjadi pengurangan uptake CO2 oleh tanaman. Hubungan antara perubahan lahan dan penurunan stok karbon disebutkan di dalam studi kasus pengamatan hutan di gunung Papandayan, Indonesia antara tahun 1994 sampai dengan 2001 oleh Pusat Penelitian Ekologi dan Biosistematik, ITB. Telah terjadi perubahan lahan hutan gunung Papandayan sebesar ha menjadi lahan pertanian yang mengakibatkan penurunan stok karbon sebesar mg atau sebesar 30% dari kondisi tahun 1994 = mg [Sulistyawati, 2006]. Studi ini masih menyisakan ketidakpastian karena seiring dengan waktu terjadi peningkatan stok karbon di atas permukaan tanah yang tidak terdeteksi sensor optik pasif yang hanya menerima pantulan kanopi serta kapasitasnya hanya citra 2 dimensi. Teknik lain dengan menggunakan Lidar, sensor aktif mengirimkan pulsa cahaya laser dan mengukur selisih waktu sinyal pantul untuk menghitung langsung tinggi pohon dan struktur vertikal-nya. Cahaya mencapai kanopi dan permukaan tanah, kemudian direfleksikan kembali menuju sensor. Kemudian stok karbon diestimasi dengan menerapkan hubungan alometrik antara tinggi dari Lidar dan data cadangan karbon dari sampel lapangan [Omasa, 2003 dan Hirata, 2009]. SIMPULAN DAN TREND KE DEPAN Lidar berpotensi untuk mendukung beberapa kegiatan kehutanan, mulai dari inventarisasi pohon, mengukur struktur vertikal pohon dan mengestimasi stok karbon yang ada di hutan. Kemampuan pencitraan 3 dimensi merupakan kelebihan tersendiri dari Lidar, beragam model dengan mudah dapat dibuat untuk memahami ekosistem hutan berdasarkan data x, y, z dari Lidar. Untuk pengumpulan data dengan cakupan area hutan yang lebih luas serta teknik yang lebih ekonomis diperlukan sistem lidar yang menggunakan wahana satelit. Trend ke depan ini sudah dirintis oleh beberapa negara terutama Amerika melalui program DESDynI oleh NASA, hanya saja sangat disayangkan rencana ini dibatalkan oleh Presiden Obama [The Intel Hub, 2011], kita berharap di masa mendatang program tersebut bisa diwujudkan. This causes airport services to exceed the ability to provide facilities to meet growth adequately. In this case, it cannot be denied that there are always undesirable things that happen unexpectedly such as airplane accidents which are not only always in the air when flying, there are also many cases of plane accidents at the ground whether it's at the landing or parking process. Therefore, a Visual Docking Guidance System VDGS tool was designed using the TF Mini LiDAR sensor and programmed for the aircraft parking system at the airport to identify and guide pilots to find the right position when parking. This tool is able to give guidance information on the aircraft position. Adanya digitalisasi menyebabkan proses pengukuran jarak dapat dilakukan tanpa menyentuh objek yang diukur. Salah satu komponen untuk pengukuran jarak yang banyak tersedia di pasaran adalah sensor light detection and ranging LiDAR. Beberapa penelitian sebelumnya terkait penerapan sensor LiDAR sudah dilakukan, seperti untuk robot automated guided vehicle AGV, quadcopter, dan pemetaan vegetasi tropis. Penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya berfokus pada penerapan sensor LiDAR dan belum menguji secara detail akurasi beserta karakteristiknya. Terdapat kemungkinan bahwa kinerja dari komponen kurang sesuai dengan spesifikasi data teknis yang dituliskan. Makalah ini menyajikan hasil pengujian kinerja sensor LiDAR jenis TF-Mini LiDAR untuk pengukuran jarak. Pengujian sensor TF-Mini LiDAR ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Kinerja sensor dilihat berdasarkan pembacaan jarak maksimal, tingkat akurasi, pengaruh warna objek, kemiringan, dan jenis material objek yang dibaca. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja sensor TF-Mini LiDAR memiliki tingkat akurasi 3,17% pada rentang 0,3 m sampai 6 m serta 3,27% pada rentang 6 m sampai 12 m dengan jarak pembacaan maksimal hingga 10 m. Warna biru dan bahan besi merupakan warna serta bahan terbaik yang dapat dibaca oleh sensor, dengan rata-rata error masing-masing sebesar 2,78% dan 3,22%. Hasil pembacaan jarak pada objek datar dengan kemiringan 10° sampai 80° kuadran 1 akan melebihi jarak sebenarnya seiring dengan bertambahnya sudut kemiringan objek dengan rata-rata error yang dihasilkan sebesar 7%. Untuk objek datar dengan kemiringan 100° sampai 170° kuadran 2 diperoleh rata-rata error sebesar 2,75%. Selain itu, makin besar sudut kemiringan objek, makin akurat pembacaan jaraknya. Lidar ini merupakan hibah dari kerjasama LAPAN dengan beberapa lembaga penelitian negara Jepang. Seperti apa bentuk sinyal keluaran lidar? Jangan membandingkan Raman lidar dengan lidar untuk pemetaan topografi, karena lidar ini sifatnya statis dan hanya mengamati di satu lokasi pengamatan. Sebuah penerima menangkap sinyal yang kembali, dan pada saat tugas pemancar dan penerima dilakukan oleh antena yang sama atau komponen, duplexer digunakan untuk beralih dari satu ke yang memiliki berbagai macam aplikasi. Semua sistem navigasi udara dan laut menggunakan radar untuk mendapatkan data penting yang diperlukan untuk menentukan rute yang aman. Pengatur lalu lintas udara menggunakan radar untuk menemukan lokasi pesawat di wilayah udara yang mereka kendalikan. Militer menggunakannya dalam sistem pertahanan udara. Ahli meteorologi menggunakan radar untuk mendeteksi pola cuaca di atmosfer seperti angin topan, tornado, dan distribusi gas tertentu. Ahli geologi menggunakan radar penembus tanah varian khusus untuk memetakan interior bumi dan para astronom menggunakannya untuk menentukan permukaan dan geometri objek astronomi di dekatnya. LiDARLiDAR adalah singkatan dari Light Detection SEBUAHnd Rkemarahan. Ini adalah teknologi yang beroperasi di bawah prinsip yang sama; transmisi dan penerimaan sinyal laser untuk menentukan durasi waktu. Dengan lamanya waktu dan kecepatan cahaya dalam medium, jarak yang akurat ke titik pengamatan dapat LiDAR, laser digunakan untuk mencari jangkauan. Oleh karena itu, posisi pastinya juga diketahui. LIDAR 1. Pengertian Light Distance And Ranging Lidar adalah sebuah teknologi sensor optik yang berfungsi untuk memetakan jarak objek dalam sebuah ruang sehingga kita dapat menentukan ukuran ruang dan permukaan. Pada dasarnya lidar menggunakan pantulan sinar laser atau inframerah – near infrared NIR untuk mengukur jarak objek di dunia nyata secara realtime Solihin, 2017. Lidar memiliki kecepatan ukur yang luar biasa karena dapat melakukan mengambilan sampel data permukaan bumi lebih dari 150 kilohertz dan dapat bekerja pada siang atau malam hari. 2. Komponen Lidar Alat yang memakai sensor lidar biasanya memadukan beberapa sensor lain untuk mendukung keakuatan data. Komponen pada alat lidar pada umumnya yaitu a. Sensor Laser Komponen utama pada LiDAR yaitu sensor laser. Biasanya sensor ini merupakan sensor near infrared NIR yang dapat memancarkan sinar ke sasaran object kemudian mantul kembali ke receiver sehingga dapat menghasilkan data yang dibutuhkan untuk pemetaan 3d. Sensor ini dapat dibedakan dari kekuatan pancaran, cakupan dan jumlah sinar per second. Sensor IR khusus lidar biasanya memiliki kelebihan dapat melakukan multiple return yaitu memantulkan beberapa tembakan dalam satu waktu. b. Sistem Pemindai Optik Ada beberapa jenis pemindai optik pada sistem lidar. Ini sangat menentukan kecepatan pencitraan gambar, mode pemindaian lidar ada beberapa jenis tergantung keperluan. Misalnya seperti dual axis scanner, polygonal mirrors, azimuth & elevation atau dual oscillating plane mirrors. Beberapa mode scan tersebut digunakan sesuai dengan keperluan yang berbeda-beda. Semakin baik jenis perangkat optik, maka semakin cepat dan baik hasil yang didapat. c. Photo Detector / Receiver Kamera Untuk menghasilkan pencitraan 3D yang realis maka dibutuhkan kamera untuk mengasilkan foto saat melakukan pengukuran lidar. Foto tersebut akan ditumpang tindih secara overlay dengan data yang diterima sensor dalam bentuk X, Y dan biasanya dapat dilihat setelah operator melakukan post processing. Beberapa jenis receiver lidar antara lain photodioda dan photomultipliers. d. Sistem Pemetaan Ketika perangkat lidar dipasang pada sesuatu yang bergerak misalnya seperti satelit, drone, mobil, pesawat atau robot, lidar memerlukan data tambahan untuk menganalisa posisi, koordinat, dan lidar terintegrasi dengan sensor GPS untuk menentukan koordinat geogratis, Inertia Measurement Unit IMU untuk menentukan rotasi / orientasi dan alat pemrosesan sensor LiDAR dipasang pada platform bergerak seperti satelit, pesawat, atau kendaraan dan robot, sistem menganalisa kondisi awal untuk dijadikan posisi dan orientasi absolut. GPS umumnya digunakan untuk menentukan informasi koordinat geografis, sedangkan sensor Inertia Measurement Unit IMU digunakan untuk menentukan orientasi. Kombinasi kedua data dari perangkat tersebut digunakan sebagai metode penerjemahan data sensor ke static points yang kemudian diolah lebih lanjut untuk aplikasi ke berbagai sistem. 3. Prinsip Kerja LiDAR Pada dasarnya lidar bekerja dengan memancarkan gelombang melalui sensor laser yang dipantulkan kemudian diterima oleh scanner. Data yang dihasilkan akan diolah dan dipadukan dengan data lain yang diterima sensor pembantu seperti GPS, IMU, dan sebagainya. Dari sana kita akan mendapat perbedaan jarak, koordinat, orientasi, image / video dan data lain sesuai dengan sensor yang terdapat pada perangkat lidar. Setelah itu, data akan di proses dan dipadukan dengan data yang diterima oleh receiver camera dan ditampilkan pada layar LCD. Selain mendapatkan pencitraan 3D, kita juga akan mendapatkan hasil ukuran dalam bentuk data yang dapat diolah. Kelebihan Berikut merupakan kelebihan LiDAR a. LiDAR manggunakan gelombang aktif sehingga akuisisi laser pun dapat dilakukan malam hari. Tapi karena dalam paket system LiDAR sekarang sudah include dengan sensor kamera gelombang pasif yang hanya bisa pekerja baik pada siang hari, maka akuisisi hanya dapat dilakukan siang hari supaya kedua sensor dapat bekerja. b. Sistem LiDAR dapat melakukan akuisisi jutaan titik x,y dan elevasi z dalam per jam jauh lebih cepat dibandingkan dengan motede konvensional survey ground. c. Kerapatan point/titik ground yang dihasilkan per 1 meter sq minimal 1 point tapi bisa sampai 9 point tergantung permukaan dan tinggi terbang metode akuisisi serta FoV Field of View/ sudut pandang sensor ke bumi. Besaran pulse alat tidak begitu mempengaruhi, saat ini sudah ada vendor yang mampu membuat alat LiDAR dengan pulse diatas 500kHz, pulse besar ini akan maksimal jika pengambilan/akuisisi data dengan pesawat bisa “terbang tinggi”. Untuk wilayah Indonesia negera tropis dimana awan berada di ketinggian 1000 s/d 1500 meter, maka pesawat akan terbang di bawah awan. Untuk terbang dengan ketinggian dibawah 1000 meter, adalah cukup menggunakan pulse 75-120 kHz dan FoV 40 s/d 60 deg. d. Karena menggunakan pesawat udara, akses lebih mudah tentunya untuk mengakuisisi/mencapai ke setiap bagian site. Dan disamping itu dapat menghindari kontak langsung dengan masyarakat, yang menjadi masalah besar pada survey ground / konvensional survey. e. Hanya butuh 1 titik control tanah BM untuk radius terbang akuisisi 30 sd 40 km dari titik control tanah tersebut. f. Mampung masuk disela-sela vegerasi, karena karekter gelombang nya seperti gelombang ultraviolet dan menggunakan gelombang lebih pendek dari pada spectrum elektromagnetik yaitu sekitar nm 1064. g. Biaya lebih efisien dan efektif, jika area > Survey ground untuk bisa 1,5M sampai 2M, jika menggunkan LiDAR system dibawah 1M. 5. Kekurangan Teknologi LIDAR Berikut merupakan kekurangan LiDAR a. Sensor LiDAR system tidak bekerjaan maksimal jika terhalang awan/kabut. b. Pulse tidak dipantulkan dengan baik jika objek-objek pantul basah berair. Karena pulse Topographic LiDAR akan diserap / hilang jika mengenai air seperti sungai atau pemukaan yang masih basah akhibat embun atau hujan. LiDAR yang digunakan untuk Hydrographic berbeda dengan Topo, untuk Hydro dikenal dengan nama SHOALS atau singkatan dari Scanning Hydrographic Operational Airborne LiDAR Survey. System ini mampu mengakuisisi permukaan air dan kedalaman air 50 s/d 60 meter dari permukaan air. c. Dalam kondisi vegerasi yang sangat rapat “cahaya matahari pun” tidak bisa masuk di sela-sela dedaun, maka dapat dipastikan pulse LiDAR juga tidak akan mampu masuk sampai ke ground tanah. d. Akurasi data LiDAR atau ketelitiaan yang dihasilkan LiDAR bervariatif, sangat bergantung pada kondisi permukaan terbuka lunak, terbuka keras, semak beluka, hutan rawa, hutan keras, hutan virgin dan lain-lain. Untuk area terbuka keras ketelitan bisa mencapai dibawah 5 cm. Ketelitian Horizontal 2 kali s/d 5 kali lebih “jelek” dari dari ketelitian Vertical. B. RADAR 1. Pengertian Radio Detection and Ranging, ialah sebuah teknologi yang mampu melakukan mapping, mendeteksi, dan mengukur jarak dengan memanfaatkan gelombang ini biasanya digunakan sebagai piranti pada pesawat terbang, kapal laut, dan alat informasi seringkali digunakan dalam bidang transportasi dan dapat memberikan informasi terhadap benda-benda asing yang ada di luar infomasi tersebut, operator radar dapat melakukan mitigasi apabila akan terjadi karena itulah, kapal yang berlayar di laut atau pesawat terbang yang melintas di langit dapat mengatasi gangguan saat perjalanan. 2. Komponen Ada tiga komponen utama yang tersusun di dalam sistem radar, yaitu antena, transmitter pemancar sinyal dan receiver penerima sinyal . a. Antena Antena yang terletak pada radar merupakan suatu antena reflektor berbentuk piring parabola yang menyebarkan energi elektromagnetik dari titik fokusnya dan dipantulkan melalui permukaan yang berbentuk parabola. Antena radar memiliki du akutub dwikutub. Input sinyal yang masuk dijabarkan dalam bentuk phased-array bertingkat atau bertahap. Ini merupakan sebaran unsur-unsur objek yang tertangkap antena dan kemudian diteruskan ke pusat sistem RADAR. b. Pemancar sinyal transmitter Pada sistem radar, pemancar sinyal transmitter berfungsi untuk memancarkan gelombang elektromagnetik melalui reflektor antena. Hal ini dilakukan agar sinyal objek yang berada didaerah tangkapan radar dapat dikenali. Pada umumnya, transmitter memiliki bandwidth dengan kapasitas yang besar. Transmitter juga memiliki tenaga yang cukup kuat, efisien, bisa dipercaya, ukurannya tidak terlalu besar dan tidak terlalu berat, serta mudah dalam hal perawatannya. c. Penerima sinyal receiver Pada sistem radar, penerima sinyal receiver berfungsi sebagai penerima kembali pantulan gelombang elektromagnetik dari sinyal objek yang tertangkap oleh radar melalui reflektor antena. Pada umumnya, receiver memiliki kemampuan untuk menyaring sinyal yang diterimanya agar sesuai dengan pendeteksian yang diinginkan, dapat memperkuat sinyal objek yang lemah dan meneruskan sinyal objek tersebut ke pemroses data dan sinyal signal and data processor, dan kemudian menampilkan gambarnya di layar monitor display. Selain tiga komponen di atas, sistem radar juga terdiri dari beberapa komponen pendukung lainnya, yaitu a. Waveguide, berfungsi sebagai penghubung antara antena dan transmitter. b. Duplexer, berfungsi sebagai tempat pertukaran atau peralihan antara antena dan penerima atau pemancar sinyal ketika antena digunakan dalam kedua situati tersebut. c. Software, merupakan suatu bagian elektronik yang berfungsi mengontrol kerja seluruh perangkat dan antena ketika melakukan tugasnya masing-masing. 3. Cara Kerja Radar Konsep radar adalah mengukur jarak dari sensor ke target. Ukuran jarak tersebut didapat dengan cara mengukur waktu yang dibutuhkan gelombang elektromagnetik selama penjalarannya mulai dari sensor ke target dan kembali lagi ke sensor. Radar digunakan untuk mendeteksi dan menentukan lokasi suatu target berdasar karakteristik perambatan gelombang elektromaknit GEM. Hal ini dapat dilaksanakan dengan jalan mendeteksi pantulan dari GEM dengan bentuk tertentu, seperti bentuk sinusoidal yang dimodulasi pulsa, setelah GEM. yang semula dipancarkan tersebut dipantulkan kembali oleh target / objek yang dikenalinya. Dengan cara ini Radar telah meningkatkan kemampuan manusia untuk mengamati/melihat ligkungannya, terutama secara fisik. Walau demikian tidak berarti bahwa Radar telah bisa menggantikan fungsi dari mata sebagai panca untuk melihat, sama sekali tidak. Radar hanya dapat memperpanjang jarak jangkau dari mata sampai batas tertentu, sehingga manusia dapat melihat apa yang tidak dapat diamatinya secara langsung dengan mata. Pengertian “melihat” yang dilakukan oleh Radar juga tidak sama dengan pengertian melihat pada mata, karena dalam hal ini Radar tidak dapat misalnya membedakan warna dari objekyang ditinjaunya. Namun demikian dalam “melihat” ini Radar punya kelebihan lain yang tidak dimiliki oleh mata, yakni kemampuannya utk “menembus” kegelapan ,kabut ,awan, salju ataupun bahan-bahan tertentu Satu hal yang paling penting dan patut dicatat adalah kesanggupan Radar untuk menentukan jarak yang tepat dari suatu target. Bila sebahagian dari sinyal yang dipancarkan Radar sampai pada suatu target, maka target tersebut akan meradiasikannya kembali ke segala arah. Antena Penerima selanjutnya akan menangkap enersi yang kembali dan meneruskannya kebagian Penerima dimana sinyal tersebut dideteksi dan dianalisa untuk mengetahui kehadiran, posisi atau kecepatan target tersebut, relatif terhadap Radar. Jarak dari target diketahui dengan mengukur waktu yang dibutuhkan oleh sinyal Radar untuk merambat menuju target dan kembali lagi ke Penerimanya. Sedang arah target ditentukan oleh arah datangnya pantulan itu sendiri. Jika target tersebut bergerak relatif terhadap Radar, maka kecepatan target diukur berdasar “Efek Doppler”, yakni pergeseran frekuensi carrier yang terjadi setelah mengalami pemantulan. Berdasar “efek Doppler” disamping dapat membedakan target bergerak dari target diam, Radar juga dapat mengetahui lintasan gerak dari suatu target. Sistem Radar mulanya dikembangkan dengan tujuan utama untuk mengetahuikedatangan dan posisi pesawat musuh serta mengarahkan dengan tepat senjata anti pesawat udara kepadanya. Meski Radar yang modern telah mempunyai beragam fungsi, namun tugas pertamanya sebagai pengukur jarak masih tetap merupakan salah satu dari fungsinya yang penting, karena sampai dengan saat ini masih belum ada satupun sistem lain yang mampu mengukur jarak secepat dan seakurat yang dilakukan Radar. Jarak target terhadap Radar dapat diketahui dengn mengukur waktu TR , yaitu waktu yang dibutuhkan oleh sinyal Radar untuk mencapai target dan kembali lagi ke Penerimanya. Pada umumnya gelombang Radar merupakan gelombang pembawa sinusoidal yang dimodulasi pulsa sehingga menghasilkan sinyal yang terputus-putus, yang mirip deretan pulsa. Bentuk umum dari sinyal Radar yang berupa a. Deretan pulsa yang terbentuk dari sinyal sinusoidal yang terputus-putus b. Pulsa pantul yang diterima seblm pulsa berikutnya terkirim. Deretan dari pulsa tersebut hendaknya sedemikian rupa sehingga pantulannya telah kembali / dideteksi Penerima sebelum pengiriman pulsa berikutnya. Jika deretan pulsa terlalu berdekatan, ada kemungkinan terjadinya “second time around echo”, yakni penerimaan pantulan/echo terjadi setelah pengiriman pulsa berikutnya. Karena “second time around echo” ini memungkinkan terjadinya kekeliruan atau salah penafsira Selain itu sesuai dengan keperluannya, adakalanya sinyal kontinu contineous wave lebih tepat dipakai sebagai sinyal Radar, yakni bagi Radar dengan efek Doppler sebagai prinsip kerjanya. 4. Komponen Radar Pada dasarnya suatu sistem Radar terdiri dari bagian-bagian a. Oscillator Sebagai pembangkit GEM b. Antena Pemancar Meradiasikan GEM yang dihasilkan Oscillator c. Antena Penerima Penerima yang akan mendeteksi energi GEM yang ditangkap oleh antena Penerima. 5. Kelebihan Radar a. Keuntungan utama RADAR, adalah memberikan kemampuan penetrasi unggul melalui segala jenis kondisi cuaca, dan dapat digunakan di siang atau malam hari. b. Radar menggunakan gelombang elektromagnetik yang tidak membutuhkan media seperti Sonar yang menggunakan air sehingga dapat digunakan di ruang dan udara. c. Radar bisa jarak jauh dan gelombang merambat dengan kecepatan cahaya ketimbang suara seperti dengan sonar. Ini kurang rentan terhadap kondisi cuaca dibandingkan dengan Laser. Dan digunakan pada malam hari tidak seperti kamera pasif. Itu tidak memerlukan kerjasama target untuk memancarkan sinyal atau emisi. d. Sangat fleksibel – dapat digunakan dalam beberapa cara! Kekurangan Radar a. Waktu – Radar dapat membutuhkan waktu hingga 2 detik untuk mengunci! b. Radar memiliki penyebaran sinar yang lebar c. Tidak dapat melacak jika perlambatan lebih dari satu d. Target besar yang dekat dengan radar dapat memenuhi penerima e. Modulasi genggam dapat memalsukan pembacaan sumber gangguan lainnya. C. SONAR 1. Pengertian Sonar Sonar Singkatan dari bahasa Inggris sound navigation and ranging, merupakan istilah Amerika yang pertama kali digunakan semasa Perang Dunia, yang berarti penjarakan dan navigasi suara, adalah sebuah teknik yang menggunakan penjalaran suara dalam air untuk navigasi atau mendeteksi kendaraan air lainnya. Sementara itu, Inggris punya sebutan lain untuk sonar, yakni ASDIC Anti-Submarine Detection Investigation Committee. Lebih spesifik lagi, teknik sonar dapat digunakan untuk mencari keberadaan suatu objek yang berada di dalam atau dasar laut. Echo sounder b. Hidrofon c. Display 3. Cara Kerja Sonar Pertama, echo sounder mengemisikan gelombang suara berfrekuensi tinggi. Gelombang suara ini akan merambat dalam air. Jika mengenai obyek seperti ikan, metal, dasar laut atau benda-benda yang lain, maka gelombang suara tadi akan terpantul. Sinyal pantulan akan diterima oleh hidrofon dan ditampilkan oleh display yang menggambarkan karakteristik obyek di bawah air. Untuk mengetahui lokasi jarak dari obyek di bawah air, maka waktu yang dibutuhkan gelombang suara tersebut dapat digunakan untuk mencari jarak panjang gelombang yang ditempuh gelombang suara tersebut. Teknologilight detection and ranging (LiDAR) saat ini telah banyak dikembangkan. Output LiDAR berupa data tiga dimensi (3D) dengan akurasi yang cukup tinggi dan pengambilan data yang lebih cepat menjadikan teknologi ini mulai banyak diaplikasikan dalam berbagai bidang. Sehingga, teknologi ini dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif dari teknologi pemetaan secara konvensional (pemetaan terestris).
